About the Role:

Leap Finance is looking for a Tech Intern (Engineering Intern) who is passionate about technology, problem-solving, and innovation. This internship will provide an opportunity to work on building and optimizing internal tools, full-stack applications, and scalable systems.

What You Will Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications (front-end and back-end).
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Work with frameworks such as Next.js (frontend) and Spring Boot (backend).
• Build and consume RESTful APIs to connect front-end with back-end systems.
• Implement security features like encryption and authentication.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers in cross-functional teams.
• Explore and implement new technologies via Proof-of-Concepts (POCs).

Requirements:

• Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Next.js.
• Familiarity with back-end frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring, or DropWizard.
• Understanding of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra.
• Knowledge of web security principles (encryption, authentication, data protection).
• Problem-solving and analytical mindset.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) is a plus.
